Q: What does “custom” mean?
A: Each order is custom-made per the customer’s specifications. My menu gives a sampling of items I make, but everything can be customized. For example, loaded chocolate chip cookies can be made with or without white chocolate, peanut butter chips, pecans, walnuts, semi-sweet chocolate, milk chocolate, toffee chips, m&m’s…you get the idea. All items are fresh and made for each individual order.
Q: Do you ship?
A: Yes. The season has a lot to do with how well these items will ship. In some cases, The Sugar Mommy recommends overnight shipping, which carries an additional charge, but ensures safe delivery of items. All orders are handled on an individual basis, so you must contact The Sugar Mommy to find out what size box is necessary to accommodate your order. Shipping is handled through a number of carriers, so prices vary, but are usually around $5.00 for a small box, $10.00-$15.00 for a medium box, and over $15.00 for a large box. Shipping normally takes 2-3 days. Again, please make sure to call or email with your custom order BEFORE paying through paypal to make sure order can properly be met.
Q: What are care packages?
A: Care packages are arrangements of goodies packaged up for delivery. Care packages are usually sent to children away at boarding school, college, or overnight camp. Care packages and gift baskets include your choice of The Sugar Mommy’s goodies packaged up in a festive box or basket and shipped out. Prices are determined by the variety and amount of goodies included. A simple package with a half dozen cookies and a dozen peanut butter cups costs $15 plus shipping. A large package with two dozen cookies, a dozen peanut butter cups, 3 chocolate covered Oreos, a dozen chocolate covered pretzels, and a bag of chocolate bark costs $70 plus shipping.
Q: Is there a minimum order size?
A: In most cases, no. For cookies, usually but not always. Since every order is unique, email or call with your questions.
Q: Do you offer nut-free and other allergy-sensitive items?
A: Because nuts are kept on premises, The Sugar Mommy is not able to offer nut-free products. However, most products are naturally gluten-free.
Q: Do you offer sugar-free or low-fat items?
A: Sugar-free chocolates are not yet available, but if there’s enough interest, there’s a possibility The Sugar Mommy will feature such items in the future. The Sugar Mommy does not offer low-fat chocolates, however, the coffee cake feautred on the menu can easily be made in a low-fat version.
Q: Do you make party favors?
A: Yes! The Sugar Mommy is happy to provide you with the perfect favor for your wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, shower, birthday, graduation, engagement, retirement, holiday, or any other party you host. Call or email to inquire about particular packaging, chocolate molds, color scheme, and more.
Q: What happens if I’m not happy with my order?
A: The Sugar Mommy doubts that you’ll be dissatisfied, but if you are, then speak up and you will either get a refund or a new product.
